Requests for Your Visit

Please wear a non-woven mask regardless of symptoms, except for children under 5 years old.

Regarding the Emergency Department's Medical Care System

The Emergency Department prioritizes the examination and treatment of critically ill patients whose lives are in immediate danger. Therefore, the order of examination may change depending on symptoms, and your wait time may be longer than expected. Please understand this point before visiting.
(Wait times vary and are unpredictable. We are unable to provide estimates over the phone.)

Items to bring to the emergency department

My Number Card (My Number Health Insurance Card) or eligibility verification document, patient registration card, health insurance card・medical insurance card, medications currently being taken or medication record book, referral letter from another medical institution (if available), etc.

Prioritization of Medical Care and Triage

As a secondary and tertiary emergency care facility in Tokyo, our center prioritizes the treatment of patients with urgent and critical conditions. Therefore, in the emergency department, nurses perform “triage” to assess symptoms and determine the order of examination based on urgency and severity. Due to this system,
• The order of examination may differ from the order of registration
• Waiting times may be longer
• Medical services may be temporarily
The above may occur.
While you wait, nurses will check on you periodically. If your symptoms change or you feel anxious, please feel free to speak up.

Regarding Prescription Medications

In the emergency department, treatment focuses primarily on acute care procedures and therapies, so prescriptions are limited to the absolute minimum necessary (one to several days' worth).

Regarding the Medical Certificate

We do not issue medical certificates on the same day.

Regarding the Use of Ambulances

Ambulances are dispatched approximately once every 34 seconds within the Tokyo Fire Department's jurisdiction and are vital medical resources essential for transporting patients with high-priority emergencies. They are not substitutes for private vehicles or taxis; please cooperate by using them appropriately. Furthermore, ambulance transport is designed to take patients to the most appropriate medical facility based on the urgency of their symptoms and the local emergency medical system. Therefore, even if you are a patient of this center, you may be transported to a nearby emergency medical facility depending on the situation. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
